How do the collection points for plastic, cans, and drink cartons work in Hengelo?

You can drop off your plastic, tins and drinks cartons at special collection points in Hengelo twice a week, free of charge. The four orange paving stones and the information board make them readily identifiable.

This is how it works:

• Put your packaging into a transparent bag. You can obtain bags free of charge through www.twentemilieu.nl/zakkenhengelo, from the town hall, or a local community centre.
  Drop off bags before 7.30 am on the collection day. Bags may also be dropped off the evening before, but not in high winds.
  Bags dropped off after that time will not be collected. This creates nuisance and attracts vermin.
  
  
• Put your residual waste in the underground containers using your waste disposal pass.

 The collection days are stated on the collection point information board. Drop off bags at the collection point on the right days only.
